The sun also rises. In fact, it is us who move while the sun stands constant and strong.
You will find sunlight amidst the gloom if that is where you focus. For it is our focus which determines which part of the infinite reality we perceive as our own.
WHAT AN OBNOXIOUS TURN OF PHRASE! 'Which part of the infinite reality we call our own.' For it is all around us, it possesses us, and all share in it equally.
No one has a prominence that outstrips any other in the overarching sunlight. Ego, when considered from the sun's vantage point, must be absurd. One might imagine the sun roaring with laughter at that one cell from that virus that has been afflicting its third planet for so miniscule a period of time believing that its presence means so much more than all the other virus cells.
Each of us is a part of a greater, more glorious whole. We each have an equal part to play on how important the virus, and thus any particular cell of the virus, will become.
Marcus Aurelius - Reverence that which is best in the Universe; and this is that which makes use of all things and directs all things. And in like manner also Reverence that which is best in thyself; and this is of the same kind as that. For in thyself also, that which makes use of everything else, is this, and thy life is directed by this.
