Community of Excellence - Marcus and Me Ends v. Means

ME - "The ends justify the means"

Yes? No? In my core beliefs it is the means that give the ends whatever value they may have.

In fact, I believe there are NO ends. That there are only means. The process, the steps and actions that go into accomplishing something is a sustaining and sustained quality. The means justify, and give value to, all results.

For the ends are totally transitory. Whatever results you get today, they are destined to be gone tomorrow in favor of new results that either move us closer to God or or closer to extinction. As George Harrison reminds us, "All Things Must Pass."

The ends can never justify the means because there are no ends. Not until all of humanity is extinct, a result that becomes more likely if we sacrifice truth, honor, and faith from the process of devising our means. Decisions that are true to our soul, heart, mind, and body are the means to evolving closer to God.

MARCUS - It is no evil for things to undergo change and no good for things to subsist in consequence of change.

Thanks
