Me - What we really want is more than just changes, it's more about getting something we see as better.
So, what is better?
To many of us better means not having the problems we presently are bothered by. Billions and billions of dollars are spent trying to win a huge gambling payday with the hope of buying solutions to ALL the problems we have. This ignores the fact that all that money comes with problems of its own. New, unfamiliar, and sometimes catastrophic problems. There will always be problems.
So what is better?
To guide us on finding 'better' things I propose we all do an audit. Expand ones focus to outline your blessings with as much fervor as your complain about your problems. Do this, and you just might realize that it's better already.
So what is better?
It is better to be closer to achieving your dreams today than you were yesterday. It is better to identify your strengths and use them to help yourself and others. It is better to know your weaknesses and find someone who can help you - be better.
Marcus - Look not round at the depraved morals of others, but run straight along the line without deviating from it. (Meditations Part IV no. 18)
