Me - Time keeps turning. Things begin, things grow, things dissipate, things end.
All creation has something to contribute before its time runs out. We all have only a certain number of days allotted for us to find what we can do, learn how to do it, search for where we can find someone to do it for, and then have them do it for us.
We have to learn our strengths and weaknesses, learn the nature of our specialness, find communities who can both benefit from our contributions and contribute to our abilities to make more contributions.
This past weekend my family and friends came together to celebrate my daughter Meg's marriage. I got to see my father's 90+ year-old eyes exchange glances with my grandson's 35 day-old ones. Thomas and Brennan clearly showed me that our connections today are inseparable from all connections over time and distance.
And then I remembered that about 120 years ago, Thomas' father had an aunt in Ireland who had the great courage to defy her father and house my orphaned grandfather until he could emigrate here. If not for her, there would never have been this wonderfully beautiful moment. It all really does matter, even if it takes a century for it to show how much.
Marcus - Thou has existed as a part. Thou shalt disappear in that which produced thee; but rather thou shalt be received back into its seminal principle by transmutation.
