What About Today?

Health is of the utmost.

The soul needs prayer and meditation. The heart needs companionship. The mind needs to mull, to muse, to analyze, to calculate, and to decide - to implement and to amend. The body needs to move.

I offer pity to the life that moves in a straight line without straying. How can we discover what lies on other roads? Without questions how can we hope to find the truth? Without others how can we hope to find ourselves?

Some days I feel trapped in the whirlpool of matter spinning off into oblivion. But yet I believe. And that is enough to maintain my stasis. But this turmoil keeps my head spinning through phases extending from perceived hopelessness through to exultation. The end will come from what I do - or don't. Don't write and spin down the throat of the black hole. Or, write so my last image will be the sunrise on those who come behind.

So today. What of today? It isn't as hopeless as perceived. Nor as glorious. It merely offers another opportunity for glory achieved or glory missed. Another opportunity to ask questions and to find answers - to seek what lies deep within our own selves.

So today. What of today? One day will be the last day. And nothing says that that day might not be this day. So set about today to make it a Good Day.
