How Do They Sleep?

We have begun the third week without a government. We stand on the cusp of losing the position as the world's preeminent currency. There are twice as many American's out of work than is healthy. There have been appeals from every country on the globe to forestall a reduction in the credit-worthiness of the FULL FAITH of the U.S. government. But yet there is still no vote in the House on a bill to correct all this because it's not the 'right deal.' All because a Minority that is so small in the global context that it can be called a Miniscule doesn't like paying taxes! Who does!

How do they sleep at night?

Are they so blinded by greed that they have forgotten what greed did to the world just five years ago? How can anyone live through the corporate greed pandemic of 2008 and DO THIS?

Perhaps because no one from Countrywide Financial is in jail right now? Is it because they learned that you don't have to envision the ramifications of your actions if you can get away with something like the trillions Countrywide stole from the world?

Communities of Excellence require its members to have the courage to do the right thing. Greed is considered the single most cancerous of motivations. Yet here we are, being sent to another level of hell because the cancer has spread from "Wall Street" to the "Beltway." There is no 'Right Thing' there is only 'My Thing.'

We as a people, as a community, will have to find a way to make sure that Gangsters such as these sleep in jail for the rest of their nights. The cancer must be isolated before it destroys everything.
