Our government is set to shut down the services we hired them to do just to conduct another water pistol fight. Democrats want one thing, Republicans another. But what do Americans want?
Seems that last question is lost on the people who were elected to consider that very issue every day they sit in Congress. They are ready to hold our senior citizens hostage to spit in someone's eye. The are ready to deny service to our disabled veterans just so they can make sure that they can appeal to some minority with radical ideas to gain votes.
Americans want to be able to afford a health care system that improves the outcomes of the treatment. Our current system is broken. The President's proposed system seeks to improve on it. The Republicans in the House are against it because the people MOST likely to get them reelected are against it. But do they offer a workable alternative? No! They moan and put up a grand show of feigned outrage and use trite and droll phrases to sound like they care.
If you can't offer a better idea then it's time to shut up.
I have no idea if Obama care is better than what is current. But the main purpose of today's health care system is profit not treatment. If the priority is one thing then that is the result that is most likely. If the priority for Americans is for health care that treats first and profits second, then why do our parents and grandparents have to suffer? Why do our vets have to go without?
Shut up and do something.
