The Law of Attraction

A few entries ago I mentioned that I had started on a sojourn to add to my philosophy because of the premature deaths of two close friends. During that search I came upon a concept known as the Law of Attraction.

To the uninitiated, the Law of Attraction basically says that nature will return to each of us responses to the inner energy that we use to live our lives. If you have only positive energy you'll receive only positive responses and vice versa. Since no one is perfectly positive or perfectly negative we all experience both good things and bad things. The efforts I have with the Law of Attraction center on connection and causality.

Kind of like a traffic signal. I play a game with myself while I am waiting for a red light to change. Most signals in my area change for crossing traffic when its sensors haven't detected a vehicle for five seconds. So I count down and point my finger at the light and command change. The light almost always responds. But my finger did not cause the light to change. That happened because of a set of totally independent forces. There was no connection between my pointing and the light changing, appearances to the contrary.

But who can really say that the Law of Attraction is or is not a LAW. Certainly not me. I do believe that there is a "soul" level of energy that permeates all substances in the universe. I see it in humans all the time. If something can exist anywhere than it does exist everywhere in all reality, albeit in different forms and different degrees. This does not answer my concerns about connectivity and causality, though.

Let's play it safe. Maybe the Law of Attraction is indeed something we humans can activate by focusing our energy to greater positivity (if that's a word). It will then happen. As long as we can be perfectly positive. Now that's not going to happen. We all have strengths and we all have weaknesses. Perhaps we can better tap into the forces of Nature if we can pool our positivity with others into a community of attraction. If we rely on a team approach of three or more people we may be able to afford to have a 33% drop in our positive energy and still energize enough of Nature's positive responses to get by with the remaining 67%.

The joining of people into communities with shared values and passions energizes the differences in talents to bloom into exponential growth. Being prepared for success allows us to take advantage of the opportunities as they arise. Having a team working together for each's greater good (Excellence) allows for everyone to be better prepared, Law of Attraction or not.

We have all seen that positive energy does bring about success. Doing good things, doing productive things, doing the right thing, moves us along a path that leads to good, productive, right results. It only makes sense to work toward our goals in Communities of Excellence to bring exponentially greater positives into the fray on our side.
